Member Need to knows
Various circumstances can come up for people during a tennis season, including relocation, employment change, injury, sickness, and change of priorities. Greenfield does not provide membership refunds.
We do try to ease the perceived loss of funds for such circumstances however. At our discretion, we may refund the volunteer deposit, despite incomplete volunteering, and also return non-community league price differences where relevant.
Volunteer Deposits ($75) can be reclaimed as per the following guidelines/constraints:
You would contribute 4 hours of volunteering.
The Net/Screen put-up or the Net/Screen take-down can be part of your hours, but you cannot claim both. You are welcome to attend both
Volunteer opportunities are:
- Spring set-up (general tidying of courts, net set-up, installing wind screens, etc). 2 Hours
- Beautifying (planting and tending to plants and pots throughout the season). 4 Hours
- Spring Open House (early May 2024) 4 Hours
- Tournament volunteer (June 20-23, 2024) 4 Hour shifts
- Community League Day (September 21, 2024) 4 Hours
- Fall take-down (general tidying of courts, net take-down, taking down wind screens, etc). 2 Hours
- Organizing weekly meetups throughout season 4+ Hours
- Socials TBD
- Tournament Times (Wimbledon July 1-14, 2024; National Bank Open early August 2024; US Open August-September;);
- General TBD
- GTC Board Member 4+ Hour
